A wisteria clad C16th Somerset longhouse on the Somerset Levels, rural but central to all the delights of Somerset and beyond, beautifully renovated to a high standard. We offer a high quality bed and breakfast experience.
Enjoy the best of both worlds; traditional oak beams, flag stoned cross passage hall, whilst upstairs are new bedrooms with contemporary en-suites.
The guest sitting room has a huge inglenook fireplace with wood burner, heavily beamed ceiling, comfortable sofas and views to Brent Knoll. A wonderful room to relax with the paper. There are plenty of books, local maps and board games available.
The breakfast room looks out over open farmland where you can enjoy a full farmhouse breakfast cooked on the aga, with our own free range eggs, homemade preserves, locally sourced bacon and sausages and fresh Somerset apple juice. Where possible all produce is sourced within 5 miles.
The main garden is south facing where you can enjoy breakfast weather permitting.
On arrival enjoy tea or coffee with homemade cake to refresh you after your journey. Sit by the pond and watch the wildlife. Spot the elusive Kingfisher. Regular visitors include deer, foxes and woodpeckers, to name but a few.
Enjoy a dip in our covered hot tub looking out over open farmland with beautiful sunsets.
Locked barn available for bicycles. Plenty of off road parking.
B&B Holiday Accommodation
The bedrooms have goose down quilts crisp white bedding and fluffy bathrobes. Flat screen TVs, DVD players and tea and coffee facilities. En-suites have fabulous walk in showers.
The Brent Knoll Suite has its own sitting room with quirky round window framing the view to Brent Knoll. There is a fridge available for guests to use, so bring a bottle of wine to enjoy and we will provide the glasses and corkscrew.
Miscellaneous
Welcome our two new additions to the family, Scrumpy and Jack who are young alpacas and will be on sentry duty to protect our chickens against foxes from the end of May.
